'Pasadena' Pre-Order + Album Fund

Salutations, lovely listeners.

We're elated to announce that our upcoming album 'Pasadena' will be released late Summer / early Fall 2017!

This album is about our summers together. Living for 4 years under one roof (what we call The Poole House), growing and creating together... It's about political and personal changes we've experienced during our years in that house on Pasadena Drive.

We've been working pretty hard on this album and have been recording it in our basement, an auto shop, and the Tonic Room, alongside our very good friends and recording companions Steve Gere and Jason Ringelstetter. We're extremely proud of what we've developed so far and are happy to say that it's unlike anything we've ever recorded. Unfortunately we've had to back-track some of the development and need help with funding the rest of our tracking, mixing, mastering, and some distribution costs. So, with a lot of careful consideration, we decided to step out of our comfort zone and launch a Pre-Order and Album Fund to help us finish this album. Our goal is 3.5K but, of course, we'll be grateful for whatever we can receive from generous hands.

Speaking of generous... We decided to partner with Generous on this campaign so 15% of the proceeds will go to a non-profit that we believe in - the Boise All-Ages Movement Project. So not only can you pre-order 'Pasadena' and receive cool perks, but you will also be donating to a Boise non-profit that's dedicated to establishing a space for our all-ages arts community!

Here's what you can do to help! Pick what format you'd like to pre-order 'Pasadena' on:

CD - https://genero.us/marshallpoole/pasadenacd
Cassette - https://genero.us/marshallpoole/pasadenacassette
Digital - https://genero.us/marshallpoole/pasadenadigital

Click on the link, move the slider to your preferred amount, and get your perks added! It's super easy!

We will be sure to keep you updated and will post periodically about the progress of this campaign. Thank you all so much for believing in us and supporting us. We love you all very, very much.

Sincerely and gratefully yours,
MP

We're Back!

As most of you may know, we had another tour in August (after our last post) through the Northwest again and then we took a short break afterwards. We had enough time to settle down during September and October and we wanted to post an update letting everyone know that a lot of exciting things are in the works!

We're happy to announce that we are recording and releasing a music video for 'Alpha Omega', very soon! It's been a long time coming (due to quite a few set-backs) but we decided that we didn't want to end the year without releasing the video for our most popular song from Totems. We can't give away too much, but we're working with a fabulous team of creatives that are truly going to bring this brooding song to life ( ... and death).

Some of you may already know this from our Facebook posts, BUT we will be premiering a ton of brand new songs on November 14th at the Neurolux! We're extremely excited to share the new music that we've been hashing out in our basement, especially with our new member (Seth Graham) who now plays a very large role in our songwriting these days... This revealing show will be at the Neurolux (downtown Boise) with psych rockers Night Beats and The Mystery Lights. We can't wait to share the stage with these guys - it's gonna be one helluva show. *You can view more details under the 'Shows' tab!*

There are other exciting things that are underway, but for now we'll leave you with that info to stew over. Thanks so much for all of the support! We'll see ya'll very soon.

Totems Summer Tour - Top 5 Shows

We've been doing a lot of traveling this summer and we're so lucky to have had the opportunity to take our album everywhere. When we released 'Totems', we all agreed to tour with it as much as possible and we're glad to say that we were actually able to do that.

Top 5 - favorite shows so far:

5. Spokane, WA

Volume: Inlander Music Festival. Although the downtown area was packed and sometimes hostile, we had an amazing amount of people come to our show and it was really great to see some friends from KYRS again.

4. Missoula, MT

Camp Daze. Need we say more? The concert-goers and musicians of Missoula are one hell of a family to spend time with. We're so glad to have had the opportunity to reconnect and meet with such fine folks.

w/ Shadowlands and Wooden Indian Burial Ground at The Know. This show was a match made in heaven, TBH. We thought the show itself was a perfect blend and the company was fantastic and gracious.

Update on June Tours

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmnnn.

Montana - Washington - Oregon. What a mini tour.

All of us at MP had an amazing time at Camp Daze 2k16 and Volume Music Festival this last weekend!

It’s always nice to tour through such beautiful areas of the Northwest…

One of the biggest things that seems to prove itself time and time again is that music communities MATTER. There were so many instances where we were overcome with gratitude because of the kindness that came from the people involved in our shows. Nickolas, Foster, Andrea, Kaleb, and everyone else behind Camp Daze were the absolute sweetest. All of the the people we met through The Inlander and Volume Music Festival were super nice and accommodating, too. As for the people of La Grande… We almost didn’t have a show at the Hide Out… but, because of these amazing communities created around music, La Granders banded together (thank you Jeff!!!) and had us play at “The Big Green Barn”, a barn that has hosted amazing bands including the likes of Built to Spill.

Videos of these performances will be posted soon!

We’re stoked to be embarking on another tour this month through:

6/19 - Portland, OR - The Know
6/21 - Eugene, OR - Old Nicks
6/22 - Ashland, OR - Club 66
6/24 - Oakland, CA - Oakland.Secret
6/25 - Fresno, CA - TBA
6/26 - San Francisco, CA - The Make Out Room
6/28 - Reno, NV - Studio On 4th

In the meantime check out a few videos we have from our last tour:

See you soon! Spread the music!

Totems Album Release

IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marshall Poole releases their debut album 'Totems' on Defendu Records November 7th at The Watercooler with friends Lounge On Fire and Flaural (CO), featuring guest appearances by keyboardist Seth Graham and drummer Wade Ronsse.

Marshall Poole will debut their album as 'Totems', careening the belief of inner spirits. For the members of Marshall Poole, 'Totems' was created in order to deal with some of their inner demons. "It's gonna be pretty dark," says bassist/vocalist Melanie Radford. "We went through a lot of personal turmoils this last spring and summer so we're releasing something angrier, weirder, and much heavier this time." The album recalls estrangement, fear, anger, and loss wrapped in a fast, psych-rock hurricane.

Recorded at Tonic Room Studios, 'Totems' poses as a new sound for Marshall Poole. From small-town Caldwell Idaho, the trio has held their own in the growing Boise music scene, but 'Totems' may be a new directional pull for rock n' roll in Boise.

Special guest openers will be Boise freaky funkers Lounge On Fire and Denver psych rockers Flaural.

On"Liner" Notes- Ooo Dontcha Wanna and Uptight

Hey guys!

Thank you for checking out our website and especially for taking the time to read our journal section.  We have decided to dedicate a NEW topic in the journal section on our website to give you even more insight on our music called OnLiner Notes.  This gives us an opportunity to include far more details about our music and specific songs than we could ever put on the actual liner notes of any of our albums.  Stay in touch with us and tell us what you think.  We are leaving the comments turned on just for you.

-------

Ooo Dontcha Wanna and Uptight

These two new singles bring a more realistic sound reminiscent of the MP live experience. We wanted to capture more of our raw energy for our next release so we chose favorites "Ooo Dontcha Wanna" and "Uptight" to showcase that. We liked the contrast of these songs because of their completely different attitudes and mind sets.

Uptight was written by Melanie (bassist) to "come to terms with oneself", being a song that poses paranoia in a women's mind. Ooo Dontcha Wanna was written by Rider (guitarist) about crazy party nights in a careless mind.

We've had the pleasure of recording these with our friend Jason Ringelstetter at the Tonic Room and we're so honored to find a producer/engineer who was open to experimenting with us. We also had a rad time working with our friend Seth Graham who provided his organ skills on "Uptight". So much love and thanks to those guys...

Thanks so much for riding along with us and we hope you enjoy these two new releases!

The Misconception +New Tracks

As we have announced to our fans at the Treefort 2015 Launch Party.  The Misconception will be released on 3/3/15 with 2 NEW Tracks "Uptight" and "Ooo Dontcha Wanna".  After releasing our Limited Edition EP our new fans all around the U. S. were disappointed they missed out on the opportunity so we decided to record a few more songs and re-release The Misconception.

There is also an added bonus in this edition.  When the EP was originally released "X"s on the hand represented The Misconception.  In this edition we used an X made of fabric to hold the CD in place. Inside the CD there instructions on how to reuse this material and create two X patches.  We would love to see our fans keep the promotion going and bring back some classic ways of band promotion with fans.  We hope to see X X on your jean jackets at our next show! Be sure to tag us in your photos on social media when your patches are ready.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at Treefort 2015!
